Полузащитник «Бордо» и сборной Франции Йоанн Гуркюфф заявил, что в отборочном матче чемпионата мира-2010 с Румынией (1:1) его команда должна была забивать гораздо больше, и выразил надежду на то, что в следующей игре с Сербией французам повезет больше. Кроме того, Гуркюфф отметил, что его не пугает перспектива борьбы за путевку на мировое первенсто через стыковые матчи.
«Конечно, мы бы предпочли одержать победу в игре с Румынией, но нам стоит сохранять позитивный настрой и тщательно разобрать этот матч. Во вчерашней игре у нас получались очень неплохие комбинации, чего не было раньше. Именно от этого надо отталкиваться и продолжать в том же духе.
